WETHERBEE ELECTRIC PASSES IN-DEPTH ISNetworld SAFETY AUDIT

Wetherbee Electric is a RAVS Plus Participant

Oklahoma City, OK, October 2020 - Wetherbee was randomly selected for an ISNetworld RAVS Plus safety audit and successfully passed. They are now a RAVS Plus participant, meaning that they implement safety procedures that meet or surpass many oil and gas company’s requirements, with whom they often partner.

ISN is a global leader in contractor and supplier management. They focus on best practice in many areas, including safety. The organization’s contractor management software connects nearly 650 Hiring Clients with a qualified network of more than 75,000 active contractors and suppliers.

The ISNetworld safety audit has four different levels. Wetherbee underwent one of the most in-depth audits, the RAVS Plus Implementation Assessment. During the audit, they provided documentation about their safety procedures. They also had several team members participate in written interviews with an ISN team member to review whether their Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs are being implemented effectively. Their training and supporting documents were part of the safety audit as well.

The goal of the audit was to assess whether Wetherbee’s HSE programs are implemented throughout the company. It included the following key elements:

  1. Reviewing recent employee training records.

  2. Assessing applicable supporting documentation of written program implementation (such as completed equipment inspection checklists, incident investigation forms, tool box meeting records, etc.).

  3. Participation in a RAVS Plus Evaluation, which consisted of an online safety evaluation and a review of Wetherbee’s employee feedback with an ISN safety professional.

Wetherbee passed the safety audit with flying colors. Mike Cooke, President of Wetherbee Electric, said, “The audit was intense, but we organized our materials as much as possible ahead of the interviews to make the process seamless. As a result of the audit, we’ve updated some of our safety training processes and are now a proud RAVS Plus Participant.” Wetherbee is enthusiastic about sharing their updated, detailed safety manual with any ISNetworld companies, including those in the oil and gas industry, who wish to partner with Wetherbee.
